Apple CarPlay is the smarter, safer way to use an iPhone in a vehicle. CarPlay lets the user use important iPhone features whilst driving via the large touch screen display. On the screen customers can view their iPhones menu in CarPlay mode allowing them to access phone calls, voicemail, send/receive messages, Apple Maps, iTunes music, playlists, podcasts and audiobooks. Users can also download additional CarPlay apps to their iPhone like Spotify and WhatsApp. This is all accessed via the glovebox USB with a simple plug and play connection, currently compatible with iPhone 5 and above.
Android Auto was designed with safety in mind; it gives a simple and intuitive interface to allow Android users to control their device in the vehicle. Android Auto gives control of Maps, Phone, Messages, Google Play Music and Spotify.
WebLink allows smartphone users to download a free app “WebLink for Kenwood” which then gives a platform to display programs not supported by Apple CarPlay or Android Auto – Waze and YouTube being very popular options for WebLink!
