VW Crafter 2025> / MAN TGE Rear Speaker Solution / Upgrade

This is a great plug and play solution if you’re looking for an audio upgrade for the Commerce ’25 VW Crafter / MAN TGE (models 2025>). The latest VW Crafter infotainment offering is fully locked down due to new cyber security protocols. This means that there is no way converters can easily add rear speakers safely. Simply adding two extra speakers to the head unit’s two channels will mean the head unit powers off at anything over half volume.

The rear speaker solution to overcome this problem uses Phoenix Gold amplifiers, made to be as small as possible, without compromising sound quality, power and functions. ZXM5004 is a 4-channel amplifier with total power 500W RMS. This is equal to 4 x 80W RMS in 4Ohm but the amplifier is stable into 2Ohm and then delivers 4x125W RMS. The 4 channels can also be bridged into 2x250W RMS in 4Ohm. The amplifier comes with adjustable HP/ LP filters and also a switch to use 2ch input or 4ch input low or high level. A lot of work has gone into making these amps with low EMI emissions to not interfere with advanced electronics or FM signal.

Will work for most VAG vehicles as it has the VW specific loom on it making it a plug and play solution.
