Great news – we’re now an official Momo store. We have a small display of exclusive Momo alloys in our parts shop, which is located on the same site as our Weston-super-Mare workshop. You’re welcome to drop by and have a look at our range of stunning 19- and 20-inch Momo Revenge alloys, or shop in our online store. Momo brings undoubted Italian style to the alloy market, and is a serious way to give your vehicle an extra special sporting edge.
Known for its high quality products and innovation, it’s little surprise that Momo grew from racing roots. The company was fouded in 1964 when racing driver Gianpiero Moretti commissioned a local craftsman to produce a custom steering wheel which had a thicker grip than standard. Other drivers soon wanted the new wheel, including Ferrari Formula One driver, John Surtees. Surtees’ Ferrari, equipped with the Momo racing steering wheel, won the Formula One world title in 1964. And so it was that Gianpiero Moretti converted his passion into a manufacturing reality, and Momo (for Moretti Monza) was born.
At the beginning, Momo’s production was limited to the racing world, but in the 1970s, the company started broadening its horizons by developing new product lines. Momo started producing light alloy wheels and steering wheels for road cars, both for the aftermarket sector and supplying original equipment auto manufacturers, starting with Ferrari. Today, the company is predominantly focused on top end alloy road wheels.
